Most often, when we think of learning, we think of the formal type that occurs in school. Learning, however, takes place continously every day. We will examine some of the mediums that aid this process.

Chapter 7 Objectives:
- Explain the basic principles f classical and operant conditioning.
- Explain the different schedules of reinforcement, and give an example of each.
- Describe social learning, and explain how it differs from learning based on classical and operant conditioning.
- Describe some of the complexities of conditioning unknown to Pavlov and Watson.
- Explain the philosophy of the cognitive approach to learning and how this philosophy differs from other theories about how we learn.
